holding ontightly to her empty heart of glass[/grade]
[grade="00008B FF6347 008000 4B0082"]She wandered down the busy highways
in search for that special someone[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]That special someone she could trust to hold on to it for her[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]Then she saw him, and with his sweet words
and tender touch he began to fill her heart with love[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]Instantly she knew, she knew he would be the one[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]So, she gave him her heart of glass and whispered
sweetly in his ear, ”Remember that this is my heart
made of glass so be careful. It is fragile, precious
and a treasure more valuable than any other[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]He took it with a smile and peace filled his soul[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]He kept it safe and warm for a while but
one day he forgot her words so sweet
and dropped her heart of glass[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]As it fell to the floor and broke apart
tears began to fall from her eyes showing
way to her shattered soul[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]Then as he looked upon her broken spirit
he remembered her words[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]So he picked up the pieces of her broken
heart and put them back together, stopping
her pain for a moment[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]But the cracks were still there and her heart
of glass was now filled with her tears[/grade]
[grade="8B0000 FF0000 FF7F50"]He tried to fill it back up with love once more
but the tears that were once in there alone
were now mingled amongst the love and
through the cracks it would seep[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]So, not as pure as it once was
she leaves her heart of glass in his hands
hoping that this time he will be more careful[/grade]
[grade="FF4500 4B0082 0000FF 000000 F4A460"]She wonders, will he keep it safe this time
